MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD
We understand and recognize the value of a college education. Additionally, we understand the importance of self-preservation of heritage, culture, and youth. This is the very reason why we wanted to create Unconquerable Souls Foundation. Unconquerable Souls wants to increase the graduation rate in South Los Angeles. The Foundation also wants to increase the enrollment of African American students from South Los Angeles in attending and graduating from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
Unconquerable Souls Foundation is a 501(c)3 corporation that provides an opportunity to enhance the education to youth in various urban public schools in the South Los Angeles area. Specifically, we augment their scholastic curriculum in mathematics, science, and technology, provide leadership training, and introduce the culture and heritage of the African diaspora. The primary goal of the program is to prepare youth through academics and extra-curricular activities to successfully graduate from a Historical Black College and University (HBCU). The specific objectives and purposes of this program shall be to provide educational support and services to disenfranchise and at risk students interested in attending HBCUs. Participants begin the program in the 6th grade culminating in the 12th grade.
Unconquerable Souls looks forward to working with the various south Los Angeles County school districts, the Divine Nine, community organizations, and parents as we prepare students to excel in becoming apart of the HBCU Nation.
